The Birth & Growth of a School 1971 - 1991: Physical Education

In 1984 Nick Broad, from England was hired. With his continuous persistence, we have built a sports program that includes soccer, basketball, track and field, tennis, softball, skiing, and canoeing.

Various athletic events have been held since 1985 with other schools in the Berkshires. An Olympiad, based on the Greek model has Nick Broad, sports teacher with the school soccer team. been enjoyed yearly with the Hawthorne Valley School and other Waldorf schools of the Northeast.

The Hurlbert Outdoor Center in Vermont continues to provide a source of joy and challenge to students in late spring.
